                                                                Presidents Message for 2012

2012!  Where does the time go. This is the real slow time with the club, not much happening this time of the year for fishing; although I hear they are catching a few steelhead up river.

Well the December meeting did not happen due to lack of people, so the nominee for new officers will happen at the January Meeting. We have an opening for the secretary position so if anyone is interested please let me know.

Our club dues have gone up:  Singles $40.00 and Spouse $10.00 these are due in January.

One big project is still in the works, the parking lot at the Kid's Derby. For those of you who do not know the Sedro Woolley Rotary takes on worthy projects every year and this one was put up high on the list and passed, and thanks to Louie Requa a rotary and club member the project is moving forward, the talk is maybe in February to strip the sod and put down fabric and gravel for new drive ways in the parking area to keep cars out of the mud. So keep an ear out for this work-party there will be a need of bodies and man power.

Other upcoming club events, The Kid's Fish Derby, Easter Egg Hunt, and the Highway clean up party, dates still to be announced. So come out and get involved with the club. Club meetings are the last Thursdays of the month, except November and December which are a week earlier at 7:00 pm at the Sedro Woolley Senior Center.

Thanks

Mike Rathvon

President
